A downloadable game for Linux

You know what happens, when Doigt’s organizing a game jam? He’s gonna ask you whether you’d like to participate or not. Being an honest person, I told him, why I had no plans to join. Well, things have changed…

I proudly present: Quantum Jump Pinball

It’s Pinball – without the usual mechanics, but with quantum jumps(!).
It’ll be fun, trust me! (you don’t… do you?!)

How do you come up with such an idea?
Blame the designer of the DConf '23 logo. (Special thanks to the one on Discord who pointed out that it looks like pinball flippers. Can’t unsee it now!🙄)
Oh! …and the 4MB Jam guys responsible for this weird theme of their jam.

Written in D, using raylib, crushed with D-as-better-C, the magic of LLD’s LTO and the sheer power of UPX. Use your precious disk space for something that actually deserves it.

Created for the 4MB Jam 2023.
Target platform of the pre-built binaries: Linux Mint 21 or Ubuntu 22.04 on AMD64

Install instructions

  1. Pick a version that fits on your screen. (You can also get a bigger one of course, *but* please don’t blame me then… If you’d like to receive a quote for a larger monitor, maybe try asking you local consumer electronics dealer instead.)
  2. chmod +x
  3. ./qjp
  4. Have fun!
